Barton College Prophecy-Printable


		Prophecy Concerning Barton College The following prophetic word was received April 3, 2007 concerning Barton College, a local liberal arts college. Barton College is named for Barton Stone, considered a founder of the Disciples of Christ/Christian Church organization and a leader of what is now known as the "Cane Ridge Revival" (Cane Ridge, Kentucky) which was one of the most signficant spiritual awakenings in American history. This revival in 1801 impacted directly approximately 30,000 people in the span of just a few days. It is considered one of the hallmarks of the Second Great Awakening. Barton Stone was instrumental in the founding of the Disciples of Christ/Christian Church which was founded on evangelism, holy living, and dedication to the truth of the Word of God. Barton College (formerly known as Atlantic Christian College) was founded in 1903 for the purposes of raising up ministers and teachers for the Disciples of Christ movement. Their motto "Habebunt lumen vitae" (meaning "They shall have the light of life" taken from John 8:12). Ron Horner, pastor of The LifeSpring Church, graduated from Atlantic Christian College in 1981. While a student, Ron led a Bible study on campus primarily studying the book of Acts. With this information in mind, here is the prophetic word: The place where you sowed My Word many years ago is a place where I want to move again. There are young men and women who have not found their place in the earth and before the earth fills them with thoughts and ideas of what they could do I want to arrest them for My Kingdom's work. I want to arrest them for Me. Call forth a move of My Spirit on that campus. Call for the very book of Acts to come alive on that place. Call for that declaration of their motto: "They shall have the light of life" to come alive to them. Call for godly men and women to rise up and take their place on that campus. Call forth My moving for this time. There will be a shifting within the student body that will find an unusual hunger for Me and My presence. Call for My Presence to begin to manifest on that campus. Many that thought they knew Me will come to know Me for sure. Many that thought they had Me all figured out will realize how foolish they were. Many that thought, "Oh, I know what God needs to do here" will realize they know nothing. They will realize that I have something to say in this day. The very Spirit of God that moved upon Barton Stone will begin to move upon Barton's stones…those that make up the fabric of the campus. Supernatural awakenings will begin to occur. Supernatural dreams and visions will become commonplace. Young men and women will feel arrested by My power as they walk from place to place or as they sit in their classrooms or in their dorm rooms. I am about to visit a people that have forgotten their roots. They shall see the wells overflow again. The traditions of men will melt at the presence of the Lord. Supernatural workings shall come. Call them to come. Call them to find their place in the earth right now. Call them now! It's a new day for the dogs! As with any prophetic word, men and women must cooperate with it and obey its' instructions. Stand in agreement and intercede with us for its' fulfillment. A move of God in this setting can have impact upon thousands of people and change the course of peoples lives.
